#AStarForCarrie: Fortunate Son Fundraiser

Fortunate Son Film Treatment

I went broke trying to keep #AStarForCarrie going, I started #OccupyFamilyGuybecause I wanted to keep it going, get more lady-writers working, and I wanted writing work for myself. I got arrested. Read more about the case. I have not given up on either.

I’m writing the script for my next sub-project of #AStarForCarrie titled Fortunate Son.

Logline: Sarah’s new therapy client is an affluent young man on the verge of becoming a dangerous white supremacist.

A lot of gun-advocates like to blame mass shootings on mental illness. The purpose of this piece is to showcase how even with mental healthcare, white supremacists can be EXTREMELY dangerous, with or without guns.

I need to get paid to write the script. I went broke trying to help others before helping myself. In emergency demonstrations on airplanes, you’re instructed to put on your own oxygen mask before helping others. My writing, my imagination is the most valuable thing I own and I want to sell this script so I can help others.

This sub-project of #AStarForCarrie is intended to shed light on the sexist inequity that still exists within Hollywood, gives comedic actresses a chance at dramatic roles, and gives monetary validity to my writing, which I will be putting back into starting the #AStarForCarrie non-profit. Nobody believes in my writing until I sell a script. If you believe in the work I’ve done, if you believe that my imagination has value, and you want to see this project come to fruition, please donate and SHARE!
